Comanche is a network action game in which players control the title helicopters taking part in team air battles. The gameplay is enriched by the ability to control battle drones.
Comanche is a online shooter with elements of the simulation game. The title was developed by German studio Nukklear and published by THQ Nordic. The project is a new incarnation of a popular franchise of Novalogic, which was a hit in the 90s of the last century.
The game is set in the near future. The automatic drone incident, which was hacked by hostile forces, forced the American army to resurrect the Comanche program, which included the construction of modern RAH-66 helicopters led by the human crew. Unfortunately, soon afterward, the machine's plans leaked out, so anyone who could afford it could create their own version of the model.
Comanche puts the emphasis on online clashes. Battles are of a team nature. One side attacks and the other tries to defend itself. Both have very different goals and starting conditions. During the game, we can direct both helicopters and war drones.
The flight model is a hybrid of an action and simulation game. The control is simple to master, and the clashes are very dynamic, but the behavior of machines in the air is ruled by a rather realistic physical engine.
Before the start of the match, we choose one of several configurations. They differ in the helicopter's equipment and the drones assigned to it. The more the latter are put under our control, the weaker the helicopter we're steering. Thanks to that we have to choose the right starting set for the role that we will play during the game.
Comanche was developed exclusively for multiplayer mode. The devs did not prepare the option of solo play.
The game boasts an attractive three-dimensional visual, with a high level of environmental detail and game-driven machines.
