Plot
The story told in Command Live: Old Grudges Never Die for PC concentrates on the civil war in Syria. As the conflict escalates, other countries in by ing either of the sides. This includes Russian and Turkish forces controlled by players (other nations are controlled by artificial intelligence). Different tasks will be assigned to the player, depending on which side do they choose. These tasks relate to actual events.
The assignment of mission objectives to the nation selected by the player is the most interesting feature of the expansion. Turkey must protect its air space but it cannot start the war on its own. The player is forced to use different combat techniques which won’t endanger the life of Russian soldiers. However, they can freely bomb Kurd’s positions with F-4 bombers. The main objective of Russia is to help the Syrian government fighting the rebels. The player can lead an offensive against ISIS and help the Kurds on the north. However, Russia must watch out for NATO provocations. What’s most interesting, Russia can also start a war with Turkey but its best to keep NATO’s and USA’s armies away from the conflict for as long as possible.
Mechanics
Gameplay mechanics of Command Live: Old Grudges Never Die for PC aren’t much different in comparison to Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations. The game takes place on a two-dimensional strategic map on which the player is giving commands to the units controlled by him. Once again, the situation on actual battlefield has been realistically recreated and it can be influenced by such factors as terrain topography or weather. Artificial intelligence can surprise the player by using various tactics and adapting to current situation on the frontline.

Command Live: Old Grudges Never Die for PC is an expansion to Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations. The expansion requires the core version of the game to work. Since the title uses the same graphics engine, the requirements haven’t changed since the original title.
