Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars is the next installment of the jRPG / visual novel series. The game is a refreshed version of the first installment, which was originally released in 2012 on PSP. Spike Chunsoft is responsible for development and publication of the game.
Plot
The story in Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars revolves around a young orphaned high-school student named Itsuki Yuge. He lives with his cousin and classmate Mahiru Konatsuki. One day, she informs the protagonist that she is pregnant. During this conversation, a portal appears in the sky, which takes the hero to the fantasy land of Granvania.
In Granvania, Itsuki is considered to be the 'God's Gift' that will save them from the evil that has struck the land. For this purpose, he must bring new children to life.
Mechanics
Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars is a combination of jRPG and visual novel. During the adventure, the player will interact and build relationships with twelve Star Girls. This is done by selecting the appropriate dialogue options.
When the level of relationship with one of the heroines is high enough, the player can create a 'Star Child' in a special ritual. Its stats depend on the relationship between the mother's characteristics and her relationship with the protagonist. Each of them contributes another member to the team, who will help the hero in battle.
Together with his children, Itsuki Yuge forms a thirteen-member team that explores procedurally generated dungeons and fights turn-based battles.
