Plot

Cornerstone: The Song of Tyrim takes place in a fantasy world inhabited by Vikings. One day the villagers of Borja mysteriously disappear. A young boy named Tyrim decides to search for them, which of course is not an easy task and entails getting into serious trouble.

Mechanics

The game is a mixture of several genres. First and foremost, it's an action RPG featuring an open world divided into eight exotic islands, where we may participate in various activities. Apart from that, Cornerstone: The Song of Tyrim for PC also shares many elements from platformers and logical games. Cornerstone also features a crafting system, which allows you to create items (weapons, armors, equipment) out of gathered resources.

Tyrim is an agile boy, who can handle himself in combat. He uses various weapons, such as clubs, axes, etc. He's also smart, which is evidenced by him solving logical puzzles and by his transportation choices—Tyrim can not only travel on foot, but use many gadgets and vehicles, such as a ship, windsurfing board or makeshift parachute made of a piece of linen.

Technical aspects

Cornerstone: The Song of Tyrim for PC is an independent production, so the developers did not have a large budget at their disposal. Because of that, the its technical aspects are neither outstanding nor terrible—it's simply a nice-looking cartoon game with realistic physics.
