RPG clearly inspired by the Pokemon series. In Coromon we find ourselves in the land of Velua, which we travel through, conquering more and more powerful Coromon and fighting with other creatures. Our charges grow in strength with time, which allows them to face more and more challenges.
Coromon is an RPG game, developed by the indie TRAGsoft studio. The main source of inspiration for this game was the best-selling Pokemon series, which had an impact on the graphic design as well as the storyline and mechanics.
Coromon takes us on a journey to the fantastic land of Velua, where people and the creatures live in harmony. Or at least that was until the mysterious sinister group decided to unleash a powerful dark force. During the game we play the role of a fresh member of Lux Solis organization. The protagonist sets off on a journey through the Velua to gather an army of Coromon and experience incredible adventures with them, and consequently face the danger threatening the whole land.
In Coromon the action is shown from the top-down view. During the game, we travel through the land of Velua consisting of various biomes, conquering more and more powerful Coromon. The latter have been prepared one hundred and twenty, and each of them has individual statistics and skills, which they develop over time. Skillful use of their strengths is the key to success in turn-based clashes with other creatures and the Titans. We are talking about six bosses, who, due to their powerful power, are the ultimate test for the capabilities of our Coromon division. As they live in separate dungeons with obstacles, reaching each of them requires solving a number of ingenious puzzles.
As we progress, we not only increase the combat potential of the Coromon (after gaining a certain amount of experience the creatures receive special points, which are used to conquer statistics), but also unlock new elements of clothing and hairstyle for our hero.
Coromon has colorful graphics made in pixel art technique. The game is accompanied by a catchy soundtrack signed by Davi Vasc.

You might simply write off Coromon as a copy of other games. But think of it as more of a game inspired by previous works. While the inspiration is obvious, various design choices within the gameplay are clear upgrades, including difficulty modifiers and the Milestones feature. If you are a fan of monster collecting games, Coromon is differentiated enough to give it a try.

A renewal of the monster-collection genre, Coromon takes the well-loved gameplay formulas of its genre predecessors and polishes them for the modern era. By providing unique twists on traditional turn-based combat, a delightful presentation, and a slew of quality-of-life enhancements, Coromon delivers a nostalgic adventure filled with wonder. While it may occasionally stick a little too faithfully to its RPG roots for the less patient creature-collectors, there’s a whole heap of juicy monster content here for any budding trainer looking for a refreshing take on a classic style of game.
