Release Date: July 15, 2008
Crazy Chicken and Lost Atlantis is an arcade platformer from the popular Moorhuhn Jump'n Run series. This time the pinnate hero crosses tropical islands and sea depths in search of the treasures of the legendary Atlantis. The title was produced by the German company Phenomedia.
Crazy Chicken: Atlantis, developed by Phenomedia, is one of the many spin-offs of the Moorhuhn series. Crazy Chicken: Atlantis is part of the sub-series called Moorhuhn Jump'n Run.
The plot of the game focuses on the search for the legendary Atlantis. While exploring the ocean's depths, the main character came across traces of a civilization that was lost thousands of years ago. Unfortunately, his submarine has failed. However, this won't stop the experienced treasure hunter...
The gameplay in Crazy Chicken: Atlantis is based on the principles known from earlier versions of the Moorhuhn Jump'n Run series (e.g. Crazy Chicken: The Winged Pharaoh). Players have to complete 30 advanced levels, bying traps, fighting enemies and collecting various treasures. Some of the locations are "underwater", which introduces new gameplay elements to the game, such as the need to dive and limited air.
As for the visuals, Crazy Chicken: Atlantis doesn't differ in quality from previous productions of the Moorhuhn Jump'n Run series. The graphics combine 2D backgrounds with 3D character models. The developers also used the side perspective typical for arcade platformers.
