Crazy Machines: New Challenges is a stand-alone extension to Crazy Machines: Inventor's Workshop, reviving the legend of the cult cycle The Incredible Machine. The title was developed again by the German studio FAKT Software in cooperation with the Pepper Games team. New Challenges do not require a basic game to work.

In of mechanics and binding, the game does not differ from its original. The aim of the players is to construct from the available set of parts an imaginary machine, which, using the effect of chain reaction, will allow to perform subsequent, sometimes extremely absurd tasks. The authors focused on preparing over a hundred new challenges, checking the creativity of players in completely new realities (including the moon and space). Along with the new stages, a mass of new items, absent in the first part of the series, was also made available to the players.

Technically, the New Challenges bring with them a number of improvements in the game engine, thanks to which the physical properties of individual items present themselves even more realistically. We have not forgotten about the functional editor, with the help of which we can prepare our own stages and riddles. In 2005, English versions of the Inventors and New Challenges Workshop were used to prepare the first "export" part of the Crazy Machines: The Wacky Contraptions Game.
