Cris Tales is a role-playing game that pays tribute to the classic jRPGs and features a unique gameplay system that enables us to move between the past, the present and the future of the game world. The title's developers are two debuting studios: Dream Incorporated and SYCK.
The main character of Cris Tales is Crissbell, a girl who is a mage controlling time. She travels through a land called Crystallis and its four kingdoms to find and stop the mighty Empress of Time. This will make it possible to change the future of the world and to reverse the evil done by the ruler.
Of course, the protagonist won't be doing this alone. During her journey, she encounters a number of characters who come to her aid.
Cris Tales is a classic representative of the jRPG genre. During the adventure, we explore the world, talk to NPCs, perform various missions and fight in turn-based mode.
What distinguishes the title from other representatives of the genre is the fact, that the action is set in three closely related time frames. The past is a constant and cannot be influenced. The present is the main element of the adventure: it is here that we make all the most important decisions related to the plot. The effects of these actions can be seen in the future.
Cris Tales is created in full 2D, offering an impressive, fairy tale-like visual style. The devs have made sure that the world is characterized by great diversity.
