Critical Shift

Critical Shift is a tactical RPG, featuring a sci-fi horror atmosphere. The game was developed by Rhinotales studio from Kazakhstan, which has the project She Sees Red in its portfolio. The game world, on the other hand, was designed by a creator using the pseudonym Guiltythree. This person is also the author of the online novel Shadow Slave.

Gameplay

Team of soldiers

We take control of a squad of soldiers in the game. Each of our subordinates has been equipped with a unique set of characteristics, skills, strengths and weaknesses.

While carrying out the tasks set before us, we are searching through the underground complex. Ransacking room after room, we sometimes meet survivors who share with us information about this place. However, most often we have to face our opponents.

Turn-based combat and enemies

The battles take place in a turn-based mode devoid of randomness. The key to success on the battlefield is the proper placement of units (their position should be based primarily on the range of the weapons they hold) and skillful use of their capabilities. It is worth acting prudently in this regard, bearing in mind that resources, led by ammunition, are a scarce commodity here.
