CSI: NY

CSI: NY is another installment in an adventure game series based on a popular American TV crime drama of the same title. This time the next edition of the series was developed by Legacy Interactive that had previously prepared various titles, including two parts of Law & Order, also based on a crime drama series.

For the first time in the history of CSI video game series you get to visit New York, where you have 5 complex cases to solve invented by the script writers of the TV show. Your job is to conduct the investigations and find the culprit. Moreover, you play as detectives well-known from the show – Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera – and not only their colleagues, as in the previous games.

There are numerous improvements in of gameplay, e.g. conversation system and computer navigation were changed. One of the key innovations in CSI: NY are interrogations, in which you can prove the suspect is lying based on collected evidence. Most actions typical of a detective’s work, such as code breaking, face reconstruction, browsing the Internet, comparing samples, take a form of various mini-games. Legacy Interactive also saw to it that interface became simpler to use and more friendly to the beginners. They also changed the game’s stylistics, which now resembles a comic book.
