A refreshed edition of Darksiders – an action-adventure game from 2010, prepared mainly with eight generation consoles in mind (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One). We assume the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. As a result of a conspiracy, he initiates the end of the world prematurely, for which he is punished by being stripped of most of his powers and exiled to Earth.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition for PC, PS4 and etc. is a refreshed version of Darksiders – an action-adventure game from 2010. The original game was developed by Vigil Games, while Nordic Games is responsible for the remaster.
The campaign of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition contains practically the same content as the original version. We assume the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. He falls victim to a conspiracy that leads to a premature end of the world, and sparking a war between Hell and Heaven. For this crime, he is divested of most of his powers, but receives an opportunity to visit the destroyed Earth in order to find the culprits and ister their punishment. Along the way, he will have to face not only the demonic powers ruling the remains of our planet, but also the vengeful angels that are chasing him.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition for PC, PS4 and etc. is also faithful to the original solutions when it comes to mechanics. Once again, we receive an action-adventure title, played from a TPP camera. The gameplay focuses on exploring large maps of a partially open structure, solving occasional riddles, and most of all – forcing your way through the hordes of enemies, using an advanced combat system, allowing the use of many types of weaponry and numerous special moves. The adventure is complemented by occasional boss encounters.
The character development system is also present, allowing unlocking new abilities and upgrading weaponry, as well as acquiring artifacts that provide various useful bonuses.
The biggest mainstay of Darksiders Warmastered Edition in comparison with the predecessor are visual changes. The game runs in native 1080p, the animations are more fluid, the quality of shadows and graphical effects has been improved, while the texture resolution is now twice as high.

Darksiders is a series of action adventure games with RPG elements and a third-person perspective. The plot of the series is loosely based on the biblical Book of Revelation, also known as the Revelation of St. John. The characters of the protagonists are reminiscent of the famous Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the backdrop for the gameplay is the dramatic scenes of the end of the world - angels and demons fight in the ruins of modern cities, bringing death and destruction to a defenseless civilization of humans.
