Release Date: November 6, 2017
An unusual logic game, in which you assume the role of the Reaper – Death’s agent. Your goal is to kill people in every possible way. The tricky part is that there is no direct control over any character. All the player can do is to manipulate the environment and lure their prey into all kinds of death traps.
Death Coming for PC and iOS is an original puzzle title developed by independent NEXT Studio.
In Death Coming, you take the role of a poor lad who lost his life only to become the Death’s agent – the Reaper. From that point on, all he does is reap lives of others in a Final Destination style.
Death Coming put out on PC and iOS features an isometric perspective. The title is divided into chapters with an open-world structure. Each is filled to capacity with neutral characters whose end is already predefined; you just need to play out the scenario. This will not be that easy though, as there is no direct control over the victims – all you can do is manipulate the environment so that they get caught in your traps.
Because each target has their own routine and unique habits, the key to success lies in observing them and careful planning. However, there are angels hovering over the map, who may foil your plans. Also, NPCs notice your actions and react to e.g. somebody’s death, which makes things even more difficult.
Even though the pixel-art style of Death Coming is combined with colourful graphics, there is a lot of black humour and brutality. Therefore, the title is meant only for adults.

Game Ratings for Death Coming Video Game.
NintendoWorldReport: 6 / 10 by Neal Ronaghan
While the value proposition across both platforms is similar, it's worth noting the first level is free on mobile. Maybe try it out there and if you're still curious, hop over to Switch and play it handheld. It's not worth trying any other way and it might be worth playing for the wanton death and puzzles.
GamePitt: 9 / 10 by Rob Pitt
For a game about death and murder, Death Coming has rather comical and upbeat gameplay. No two playthroughs will be the same as each NPC has their own set agenda which could change based on the weather that kicks in or become altered if you failed to activate a trap in time. This game is basically one giant logical 'trial and error' game in which you must think a few steps ahead in order to perform genocide and emerge the victor. I doubt you've played anything quite like this within the last few years (at least).
