Barbarian Returns is a remake of a classic action game called Death Sword (also known as Barbarian, hence the analogous title). The program was prepared by an amateur group Delphi Games Development and was implemented using a fully three-dimensional Basilisk engine.

Continuation of the game titled Barbarian (or Death Sword in the United States). The evil sorcerer Drax, who spoiled the main character with some blood in the original, returns and is preparing for revenge. Gorth must of course get him before he can realise his dark plans, but it's not that easy. To get to his headquarters, you must first go through the whole land and defeat many fantastic creatures.

Death Sword (outside the United States also known as the Barbarian) is a classic murder, in which the player will play the role of the warrior Gorth. His task will be to free Princess Marianne, kidnapped by the evil sorceress Drax. However, before the chief commander of all the confusion reaches justice, Gorth will have to deal with seven other barbarians who have been delegated by his master to prevent him from carrying out his mission.
