Deck of Haunts is a production with elements from strategy games, roguelikes, and card games. It was developed by the independent Belgian studio Mantis, which has the project Journey for Elysium in its portfolio.

Gameplay

In Deck of Haunts we watch the action in an isometric view.

The haunted manor

During the game, we take control over a haunted house. Our task is to lure daredevils craving for thrills inside the manor and drain their energy by scaring them and driving them to the brink of madness. The power they provide us with allows us to expand the residence, as well as set up even more elaborate (and scarier) traps for anyone who decides to cross its threshold.

Day & night

During the day, we are engaged in deg the estate. We need to decide on the placement of traps and the layout of the rooms. We should design the rooms in a way to best protect the heart located in the center of the home. It constitutes the core of our strength so we cannot allow its destruction, because then the game ends with our defeat.
