Mechanics

The players pick their side of the conflic and take on the roles of the last surviving of the either Genesis R17. Their main objective is further survival and finding a way to return home. There's more, however, as at the same time they have to outsmart the opposite faction member, who's trying to fulfill similar goals somewhere in the same area.

Detached features a wide open world and focuses on three main aspects: exploration, survival, and rivalry. During the game, you solve various puzzles and search for resources such as fuel or oxygen. There's also no shortage of direct encounters with the enemy and firefights. The game can be considered as a slightly less violent capture-the-flag mode, known from many online multiplayer shooters, with added exploration and survival elements. Moreover, the gameplay varies depending on your chosen faction, featuring slightly altered puzzles and tasks, and, first of all, a different fight style.

Game mode

Detached was created primarily with the PvP and one-on-one multiplayer modes in mind. However, the game also features a singleplayer mode.

Technical aspects

Detached for PC utilizes the acclaimed Unreal Engine 4 and features attractive 3D visuals, which makes the game stand out amongst other VR titles. At the same time, the use of virtual reality headgear provides unique gameplay experience and immersion level, unparalleled in the more traditional games of the genre.
