Die Hard is a shootout which refers to the famous action film with Bruce Willis, under the same title. The player will play the role of John McClane, who declares war on ruthless terrorists occupying the forty-storey skyscraper Nakatomi Plaza.

The action of the game is presented from the perspective of a third person. This means that we see our hero from behind his back, just like in productions like Tomb Raider or MDK. The programme combines digitised images of characters with a three-dimensional environment based on simple vector graphics. Because John McClane always moves sideways, there is a need to manually change the camera view (it moves smoothly every ninety degrees). It is worth ing that if you encounter a door on your way, you can through it only when you see it directly in front of you. With shooting, the matter is more confusing, as McClane can also turn the weapon to the sides. Generally, the action boils down to visiting other rooms, collecting weapons, objects and the extermination of terrorists. Our hero is defined by the use of life energy, which in critical situations can be supplemented with the use of first-aid kits scattered here and there. The plot of the programme is treated in a machete manner and is limited to watching subsequent, static pictures.
