DIG: Deep in Galaxies

Mechanics

DIG: Deep in Galaxies is a side-scroller. The game revolves around completing missions, which take place on various planets. Locations are procedurally generated, which means during each visit we'll face different challenges. Our objectives involve corporate espionage, sabotage or escort missions (during which we must escort such goods as... a sack of potatoes). The player must be agile and attentive, using their grappling hook, jumping over pits, avoiding traps and watching out for enemies. It's important to death is permanent.

There are several playable characters to choose from; they differ in of classes, abilities (which we choose ourselves to create the most effective combinations) and preferred gear. Throughout the game we'll face tons of regular enemies and much more powerful bosses. We can eliminate them with melee weapons or firearms (aside from classic guns we'll also use futuristic weaponry such as laser cannons), gadgets and combat skills, which can be chained into deadly combos. As we progress through the game we develop our character, gradually facing greater challenges.

Game modes

DIG: Deep in Galaxies is playable in singleplayer or local multiplayer; up to four people at once can co-operate or compete against each other.

Technical aspects

The pixel art visuals of DIG: Deep in Galaxies are simple, though colorful. Compared to most similar games, this one stands out thanks to its destructible environments.
