Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes, released on WiiU, PC, etc., is a continuation of the popular arcade game from 2013. The production was developed by Avalanche Software, the same developer that worked on the first game.
The biggest attraction of Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is the introduction to the virtual world characters and elements from the Marvel comic universe. Thanks to that we can play as famous superheroes like Hawkeye, Hulk, Winter Soldier, Iron Patriot, Captain America, Loki, Spider-Man, MODOK, Rocket Raccoon or Groot. The game offers an extensive storyline developed by Brian Michael Bendis, an award-winning comic scriptwriter who worked on such series as Powers, Daredevil and Ultimate Spider-Man. Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is also introducing several new locations, including the Marvel version of Manhattan, with the Avengers Tower in the center. The authors haven't limited themselves to superheroes and have also added new characters from Disney's classic cartoons.
Mechanics
Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is a typical arcade game in which we explore locations and fight with enemies. From time to time, we also have to deal with simple logic puzzles. In addition to the standard challenges, there are also many ingenious mini-games. The superheroes have all the appropriate powers and skills, including the ability to fly. To use this ability freely, the size of the maps has been increased significantly. The game is made more attractive by the development system based on talent trees.
Game modes
Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes offers both single and multiplayer modes. The changes were not limited to the introduction of new characters and locations. The Toybox mode where players can create their levels and share them with other s has been greatly improved. Creation options have been extended by new elements, the interface has been simplified and the developers have added the option to call up automated builders, who procedurally supplement the missing elements of the maps.
Technical aspects
Just like the previous installment, Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes uses plastic figures that players can collect and use them to unlock access to virtual versions of these characters by placing their models on the docking station. Importantly, the production is compatible with all figures and accessories from the first Disney Infinity. There is also an option to import save files.
