Disney's Action Game Hercules, also known under a shorter title Disney's Hercules, is a 2D platformer released on PC, PSP and PS3. In the game, we spend most of our time on dangerous slopes and platforms, defeating enemies sent by the Greek gods who put us to the test. From time to time, the perspective changes from a side view to the third-person.
Plot
The plot of the game coincides with the story presented in an animated movie created by Disney. The main character is the son of Zeus, the Greek ruler of Olympus, and Alcmena, a mortal woman. Commonly considered to be the strongest man on Earth, Hercules must prove his power to the gods to their circle. However, not everyone likes this idea. Hercule will face, among other things, Hades himself and his numerous servants.
Mechanics
In of gameplay, Disney's Action Game Hercules is no different from other platformers. We eliminate enemies with our sword and fists. Over time, we find weapon upgrades to temporarily throw lightning or deal fire damage. Hercules' health bar is displayed in the corner of the screen. We fill it up by drinking from cups scattered around the levels. During the available stages (10 in total), we face numerous bosses. Apart from Hades, we will also fight, e.g. Centaur, Minotaur and Hydra.
Technical aspects
Disney's Action Game Hercules has a cartoon graphics design that closely resembles the movie.
