Prepared by the Japanese Game Republic studio, also responsible for the first part of Dragon Ball: Origins, the production is an impressive action-adventure game, making the most of the DS's capabilities.

The game starts exactly where the first part ends and allows you to learn more about the fate of grandfather Son Goku, who is training and looking for a dragon ball. This time, the Red Ribbon Army will stand in front of the young hero, who wants to take control of the planet with seven dragon balls. As a result of several coincidences, Goku becomes its main opponent, and the players get a chance to all the most important clashes between the hero and the army staffs, White, Blue, Red and Tao Pai Paami mercenary.

The game system is very similar to the one used in the Legend of Zelda. Players observe the character mainly in isometric projection, and move and perform various actions using the keys and the style and touch screen. Occasionally, the way the actions are presented changes, adapting to the events shown on the screen. Unlike the first part of Origins, this time, besides Son Goku, all console s will also find new playable characters like Yamscha and Krillin. Each of the heroes has slightly different skills and characteristics that influence the gameplay system. The whole production has been complemented by numerous platform and logical elements, which are regularly intertwined with fist clashes.
