DriveClub for PS4 is a racing game developed by the genre veterans responsible for Motorstorm, Evolution Studios. However, unlike the titled mentioned above, this production lets the players get behind the wheel of real sports cars.

The title also shows a different approach to law enforcement and, above all, focuses on the cooperation of the players who organize themselves in eponymous clubs in order to work together for the reputation of the entire team, collecting fame points. These are awarded for both the high places achieved in tournaments as well as performing numerous secondary objectives.

The gameplay in DriveClub is purely arcade – driving model is straightforward and easy to master. In addition, because the game focuses on multiplayer mode, we gain access to a range of options that affect the social rivalry between the racing participants.

The Best Time to Buy PS5 Will Be a Year After Its Launch [OPINION]

The pattern is invariably the same. New-generation launches are usually rough, with numerous bugs, and few games to play. It will be no different this time around.

The Phoenixes of Video Games, or How Flops Become Hits

"Video games as a service" is usually associated with unfair microtransactions, lacking content and watered-down story – but there's more to it. The term also implies an opportunity the devs have to mend the things that don't work properly.

Expansion

October 27, 2015

Racing

The first expansion for the arcade racing game released exclusively on PlayStation 4 by British Evolution Studios, the creators of WRC and MotorStorm series. DriveClub Bikes was released both as a stand-alone game and as an additional content for the original DriveClub. As the title suggests, the expansion adds various bikes from such manufacturers as Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda and BMW. One can drive them by using an arcade driving model with simulation features (weather conditions and type of surface affect the controls). New machines are unlocked as one progress through the campaign, which consists of a few dozen of events with gradually increasing difficulty. The events take place on closed tracks scattered through various countries, including Japan, Canada, India and Chile. The expansion does not add any new locations unavailable in the basic version of the game. Similarly as before, in DriveClub Bikes the players can create clubs for a group people to and together play against other players.
