Ducati World Championship is a dynamic racer that lets you ride motorbikes of the Italian manufacturer, as suggested in the title. The game bears much resemblance to such series as e.g. Moto GP. Ducati World Championship was created by Artematica, known well to adventure game lovers, e.g. Crime Stories: From the Files of Martin Mystere.
One of the main advantages of the game is the use of the license for Ducati motorbikes. There are over 70 models of bikes divided into four classes – Classic, Sports, Road, and Grand Prix. Therefore, you can ride not only professional models, but also the ones that were not designed for stunt driving. Different models vary in appearance, propulsion system, and sheer performance. The producer also invited several professional bikers for cooperation, including famous Loris Capirossi, a member of one of Ducati’s Moto GP teams.
The game features a big roster of play modes. The beginners may want to check out Riding Lessons mode, where they can learn basic riding. Note that you can choose from three levels of difficulty: Arcade, Normal, and Simulation. Similar solutions were also used in games from SimBin company. The main course, however, is the expansive career mode with a few dozen tournaments. Progress is rewarded with better motorbikes and other extras. Ducati World Championship also has a full-blown multiplayer.
Competitions take place at over 30 race tracks. Note that some of them are initially locked. The graphics looks really decent. One of the noteworthy elements are realistic atmospheric effects. The audio layer features realistic sounds of different engines, as well as professional soundtrack composed by a famous Italian band Lacuna Coil.
