Second episode of the game Duke Nukem. The title character follows in the footsteps of a crazy scientist, Dr. Proton, and hits his secret base on the Moon, where he is swarming with robots and traps.

Apogee Software developers intended that the plot of Duke Nukem should include three adventures of the title Prince. Each episode, although connected with the others, is a separate fragment.

Mission: Moonbase is set just after the events in Shrapnel City. Dr. Proton managed to escape from Duke and escape to his secret lunar base, where he plans to conquer the Earth. The Prince follows in his footsteps, using a machine created by a crazy scientist to travel in time and space. His plan is simple - you have to stop the Proton at all costs....

In of gameplay, the second episode is no different from the first one. The hero, led by players, travels through dozens of trapped corridors and, using a variety of weapons found along the way, eliminates further robots sent by his main enemy. The game is a typical, arcade platform with a 2D view.
