Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep is a continuation of the cult cRPG game released in 1989, which was the PC debut of the series started in the early 1980s on 8-bit ZX Spectrum computers. Developers from FTL Games have once again served the best of the first part of the game - in virtually unchanged form, but in a much improved setting.

The plot of the next installment of the popular "dungeon crawler" focuses around Skullkeep Fortress, about which terrifying legends have been circulating for years. It is said that this castle is in fact a hellish machine, opening the gates to another world. A player-led team of young warrior Torham Zed, barbarian Bane, sorceress Sarah and beautiful priestess Het Farvil is the last hope in the world to stop the chaos when the demonic portal opens. The aim of the game is to find the four keys to the fortress hidden in the basement, to move on to another dimension and overcome the evil hidden there before it begins to take its harvest among the innocent and defenceless people.
