Dustwind: Resistance focuses exclusively on a single-player campaign, allowing us to lead & develop a group of characters. We can also use built-in editors to create our own stories and maps.

Dustwind: Resistance is a tactical team role-playing game inspired by the previous installment of the series from Dustwind Studios, this game focuses exclusively on a single-player campaign.

Gameplay

We lead a group of warriors, trying to defend our home against the invading army. We can rely on weapons (from bows, through grenades, to rocket launchers), a dog, and an armored vehicle. In addition to this, we set traps, deploy turrets and barricades. We can also take the risk of performing certain tasks in the enemy's dangerous territories.

Just like in other games from the genre, Dustwind: Resistance focuses on tactical sense and character development. Battles take place in real time, but we can pause the game at any moment to plan our next moves without haste. Due to the numerical superiority of the aggressors, we are often forced to hide, and in the fight against robots or mutants, special skills and clever use of the terrain help us.

Collecting loot is a significant element of the game. In order to enrich our equipment, we use the skill of lockpicking and we also gain access to computers. The vehicle's steering system can break and require repairs.

Story

The main character of Dustwind: Resistance is a farmer named Jake. In the face of an invasion he must abandon a peaceful rural life. He suddenly becomes the leader of a group of armed defenders of the homeland. His father is one of the people helping him.

Map editor

The developers of Dustwind: Resistance provided players with a built-in editor, which can be used to easily create our own campaigns and share them with others in the Steam Workshop.
