A horror adventure game in which we explore escape rooms and solve environmental puzzles, trying to find a way out. DYING: 1983 contains three times more puzzles than its predecessor - DYING: Reborn.
DYING: 1983 is a horror adventure game and a sequel to DYING: Reborn, released in January 2018. The game was developed by independent Chinese studio NEKCOM Entertainment.
As in previous parts of the series, in DYING: 1983 we play as a wanderer trying to find a way out of the dark rooms, which are in fact traps with hard to solve puzzles. On the way, the hero not only learns that he has become involved in a larger intrigue than he could have imagined, but also learns about the circumstances in which he ended up in this terrifying place. He also quickly discovers that although the reality around him resembles ours at first glance, it differs from it in every way.
In DYING: 1983 we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). The gameplay is about exploring thrilling locations and solving complex environmental puzzles, which are three times as many as in DYING: Reborn. They involve both manipulating elements of the environment and searching for objects and using them in a specific way. Although the puzzles are not the easiest ones, things are complicated by the fact that we have to be careful all the time, as we are threatened by both the numerous traps and the enemies waiting for us. We can eliminate our enemies by making use of firearms, for example, but it is worth ing that ammunition is a shortage here.
DYING: 1983 has a good graphics. The feeling of constant anxiety is intensified by the atmospheric soundtrack.
