Earache Extreme Metal Racing, released on PC, PS2 and Wii, is a car race developed by Data Design Interactive and released by Metro 3D. The project is under the patronage of Earache music label, which has been publishing and distributing extreme metal music for over a dozen years.
In fact, the racing part in Earache Extreme Metal Racing is just an addition to the extermination of enemies using sophisticated means of extermination - mainly all sorts of spikes. In order to reach the finish line, we have to get rid of the other participants of the game first, especially that they do not intend to ively observe our actions.
The game was initiated by a sixteen-year-old fan of metal music, who developed its concept. Because of the genre, we will see well-known bands associated with extreme sounds. The following bands and projects play the role of race participants: Mortiis, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Akercocke, Decapitated, Biomechanical, Municipal Waste, The Berzerker, Linea 77 and Society 1.
Of course, the game will not lack a solid portion of brutal music. The soundtrack consists of songs by Napalm Death, At the Gates, Cathedral, The Haunted, Hate Eternal, Cult of Luna, Beecher, Urkraft, Anata, Mistress, Severe Torture and Decapitated.
