East vs. West: A Hearts of Iron Game is a powerful real-time strategy addressing the subject of the Cold War. The production was created by BL-Logic studio, which has an maintained in similar climates of Arsenal of Democracy. The game is set during the Cold War (1946-1991) and recreates the political-military tension that prevailed between the Eastern Bloc and the West. Achieving this goal requires a strong economy and army, diplomacy and even spies. The game offers a high level of realism, but at the same time it allows you to change the story. During the game, the player is constantly in danger of a nuclear apocalypse and has to find the right balance between the expansion of his own power and the risk of the outbreak of World War III. If we fail to negotiate peacefully with other countries, it is possible to turn to the UN for help. This does not mean, however, that the game is lacking in armed conflicts. Instead, they are an excellent way to overcome some of the obstacles and ensure access to valuable raw materials. During land clashes, apart from armies, we also use partisan troops. The navy also plays an important role, and the new editor allows for far-reaching modification of ships. The spectre of the nuclear war also forces participation in the global arms race. This is matched by an extensive and very flexible technological system, in which it is even possible to create one's own space programme.
