Release Date: August 21, 1998
A strategy and simulation game in which you can try your hand as a coordinator of the actions of three extremely important for the operation of urban services, namely the police, fire brigade and ambulance service.
Command the rescue units, police cars and fire engines. Save people from desperate, life-threatening situations. But hurry - every second counts. This is no game for the weak at heart. This is EMERGENCY, the new standard in real-time simulation games.
You start your career as unit commander with just a few units at your disposal and a few simple tasks, from traffic accidents to house fires. As the game progresses, you receive over 30 missions, from plane crashes to natural catastrophes and even an explosion in a nuclear power plant.
The scenes are realistically displayed and the cases based on real-life situations which have actually taken place.
The game demands lots of concentration and quick thinking in order to get help to the injured fast and to deal with a wide range of dangers like fires, floods, hurricanes and even terrorist attacks.
The true-to-life nature of the emergency situations makes them even more thrilling and motivates you to play repeatedly in order to reach better results, rescue more of the injured or get the blazes under control more quickly.
The game’s spectacular graphics really bring the catastrophes to life. You feel right in the thick of things, with complete command control over every individual unit.
In addition to the rescue units, you can also control the personnel themselves. Make a police officer redirect traffic or move him into place to control a rowdy crowd. Get doctors and orderlies to take care of the injured and firemen with oxygen masks to enter burning buildings. Inside the buildings, you can open doors, break windows and move firemen from floor to floor.
