An expansion to the historical strategy game Europa Universalis IV. Domination focuses on the game's most powerful nations, such as the Ottoman Empire, China and Great Britain, introducing new events, quests, reforms and units.
Europa Universalis IV: Domination is an expansion to the fourth installment of a popular historical strategy series developed by Paradox Development Studio and Paradox Tinto. It focuses on the most powerful nations available in the game. The Ottoman Empire, China, Japan, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom, as well as smaller countries - Prussia, Portugal and Korea - have all received new content.
Just like the base version of Europa Universalis IV, the expansion allows us to participate in authentic historical events and create an alternate history thanks to our political and military decisions. The Domination expansion introduces new events for powerful nations, new questlines, reforms and opportunities to manage our societies.
The player can get to influnece the fates of China's Han Ming and Qing dynasties, lead near the end of the Hundred Years' War and challenge the Japanese Shogun's right to reign. We can often focus on domestic politics or make choices tied to international diplomacy. By doing so we can either isolate our country or open it to other nations' influence.
Domination also introduces aditional units to Europa Universalis IV, including the legendary samurai, Tercios (Spanish infantry) or musketeers. It also makes new naval units available to Great Britain, Portugal, Korea, Venice, Genoa, the Netherlands and Spain, the last of which can now form the Grand Armada.
Domination isn't a standalone expansion and requires the base version of Europa Universalis IV to work. In addition to the aforementioned additions, it also includes new musical themes (three each, themed after China, Turkey and ), as well as 32 new unit graphics for Western and Eastern Cultures.
