EVEREST VR

EVEREST VR is a simulation game, which uses virtual reality goggles to offer players emotional journey to the summit of the highest mountain of the world, without even leaving their homes. The game is available on PS4. EVEREST VR is a result of co-operation between Icelandic Solfar Studios and RVX team, who worked on special effects for Baltasar Kormaruk’s movie, Everest. Institutions, such as Chinese Shanda Group, Finnish NSA Ventures and VC Inventure, ed the project financially. EVEREST VR is the first game in the series, created to allow the players, (but not just them), to see many places on Earth, not accessible for most people.

Mechanics

EVEREST VR is a kind of a virtual journey to the summit of the world's highest mountain – Mount Everest, (or Chomolungma, as Tibetans call it), which is 8848 meters high. We can experience the beauty of the journey while traveling through five iconic scenes: preparing our expedition at the basecamp, traversing the dangerous Khumbu Icefalls, spending overnight in a transition camp, ascending nearly vertical Hilary Step to finally reach the summit of Everest.
