In Everlasting Summer the player takes on the role of the average teenager Semyon. One day the protagonist takes part in an unusual combination of events - after falling asleep during a winter bus tour, he wakes up in the middle of summer, just before entering a pioneer camp. From now on, his primary goal is to unravel the mystery behind the mysterious event, as well as to get to know the residents of the facility. All of this helps him get an answer to the question: "How to return to his old life and would it make any sense to return at all".
With time, the plot is enriched with new threads and numerous plot twists - the protagonist has the opportunity to taste youthful love. History can end in several diametrically different ways, depending on our actions. A characteristic feature of the game is a specific atmosphere, built primarily through the presence of propaganda posters and numerous announcements, which are visible in all places visited by Semyon.
In of mechanics, Everlasting Summer does not deviate in any way from the standards of the visual novel genre. The game consists of us following the story told with the help of text narration and static images presenting the situation in which the protagonist is at a given moment.
Everlasting Summer is characterized by high quality two-dimensional visuals. The characters are drawn with great attention to detail, inspired by the manga style, and the environment rich in details and various tidbits. Music composed for the game is also good, but dialogue lines have not been voiced.
