Mechanics

In Eville we observe the action from third person perspective (TPP). We can explore the open world freely. During the gameplay some players take on the role of villagers trying to lead a fairly normal life, while others take on the role of murderers acting in conspiracy. The activity of both groups is determined by the day and night cycle. While the first group operates during the day and goes to their homes in the evening to rest, the bandits go out to hunt only after nightfall.

The villagers' task is to stay alive and discover the identity of all the conspirators. To do this, they must work closely together, conducting their own investigations, tracking down suspects, and calling meetings where they can not only share their thoughts with the rest, but above all - identify potential conspirators and decide their fate by voting. In addition, they receive healing or poisonous potions at their disposal and also have the opportunity to obtain useful items from merchants. Assassins, on the other hand, must act in secret, and in case of accusations - try at all costs to clear themselves of the charges. At their disposal is a black market, where they can supply themselves with unique goods, as well as an underground system that allows them to move around Eville away from the sight of nosy villagers.

Before the start of each session, the game randomly assigns us not only one of these two roles, but also one of the characters, each with unique abilities. For example, Ghost Whisperer can make with the spirits of the murdered, Trapper is an excellent tracker, Seer can see in the dark and deploy magical shields, while Shape Shifter can take on any form. The appearance of the heroes and heroines can be changed with the help of various cosmetic accessories.
