A shotgun in which the action is shown from the perspective of a third person. The game takes place in the same world as the Lost Planet series, although at the same time the authors have offered a more cartoon-like and humorous approach to the subject. The game is mainly about murdering enemies, although there are also simple elements of operational base management.
E.X. Troopers, released on 3DS and PS3, is an arcade TPP shooter. The game was produced by Capcom's in-house development team headed by Shintaro Kojima, known for his Monster Hunter series.
The action of the game takes place in the distant past, in the same universe as the Lost Planet series. However, the authors abandoned the realistic style of this franchise and opted for a more cartoon style. The plot is also less serious and focuses on the fate of a student of the Brena Turner military academy. He is entangled in a conflict between snowy pirates and Akrid.
The game is a dynamic third-person shooter. The developers made sure that E.X. Troopers can be enjoyed by not only shooter veterans, but also newcomers. We use a wide arsenal of weapons, as well as the Gingira Battle Armour with Artificial Intelligence installed, that likes to have discussions with Bren. We also have to leave the cockpit and fight battles like an ordinary infantry. During the adventures, we will meet many interesting characters, including TeeKee - a snow pirate able to communicate with Akrids and cold professional Chris Landbaird, with whom we will compete for leadership in the group.
The action was set on the planet The EDN-3rd. There are three bases on its surface, each with its own special features. We will choose which of them will become Bren's operational centre, and the other two will be developed by other students of the academy. The story is told using manga intermittent scenes.
