Exit is an original combination of action and logic elements with gameplay resembling the first Oddworld games (Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exoddus), well known to PC and PlayStation players. This game, created by a Far Eastern company Taito, lets you play as a mysterious man with an orange hat a'la Dick Tracy, whose main occupation is saving fellow citizens.

The game is set in a large metropolis; however, you do not roam city streets, but run through buildings' interiors. Each location is a maze of rooms, corridors, and stairs, where you have to find a person to rescue. When you are ed by them, you can give out commands in order to make them stand still or help you move objects blocking your way. Here and there you can find various items helpful in solving problems quickly – you open locked doors with keys, put down the fire with extinguishers, and use rope ladders to climb up or down.
