F-22 Raptor fighter simulator, produced by Digital Image Design studio. The action of the game takes us to the Red Sea and the Arabian Peninsula. The production is distinguished by high quality graphic design and flight model combining racial simulation with arcade elements.
F-22 Air Dominance Fighter is a simulation game in which we can sit at the controls of the American fighter F-22 Raptor. Digital Image Design studio is responsible for the creation of the game, with such successful simulations as F-29 Retaliator or TFX. The game is the direct successor to the highly acclaimed EF2000 series, in which we piloted Eurofighter Typhoon fighters.
The F-22 became famous long before his entry into service in the U.S. Army. The modern stealth technology, in which it was made, made the machine practically undetectable for radars. At Air Dominance Fighter we can see for ourselves the advantages and disadvantages of the plane. The authors have prepared three major campaigns of increasing difficulty, taking place on the Red Sea, in Eritrea and Saudi Arabia. Apart from the "hero" of the game, fighter Raptor, the game reproduces a whole range of modern military machines, with which we will meet in the air during the performance of subsequent tasks.
The game Digital Image Design studio accurately simulates the possible failure and behavior of individual weapons or systems of a fighter aircraft, while offering a simplified and more accessible to the ordinary player model of flight, in which many less important - according to the creators - activities have been automated. The cockpit F-22, composed of four groups of displays, was reconstructed with considerable reverence. They have been placed on separate screens, which on the one hand allows for a very detailed monitoring of the aircraft, and on the other hand, makes it very difficult to control the aircraft. Without proper training it is practically impossible to switch between virtual cockpits.
The strongest point of the game is the refined graphic design, which, thanks to cooperation with 3D accelerators, distinguishes Air Dominance Fighter from other simulation games. Vector graphics are covered with textures that give the illusion of a real world with a large number of ground objects. Sound and music are at a slightly lower level. The standard sounds of the battlefield are accompanied by aircraft sounds and blurred radio conversations.
