A tactical jRPG game in which we play a characted called Peony, a heroine with magical abilities. While playing in Fae Tactics, we travel through a colourful land, gain new allies and face opponents who can our team after losing the fight.
Fae Tactics is a tactical jRPG game, clearly inspired by classics, led by the cult Final Fantasy Tactics. The title was developed by an independent Endlessfluff Games studio, and was released by Humble Bundle.
Fae Tactics takes us to a fantastic world that has long since been divided into two domains - the magical one, inhabited by beings known as fae and the natural one, inhabited by humans. They were separated from each other by so-called Elemental Gates, but one day these gates were destroyed. This led to a tragic combination of the two dimensions, which almost completely destroyed them.
Those who managed to survive have started all over again, although growing tensions between people and Fae do not end well. In the middle of a smoldering conflict appears Peony, the main character of the story, equipped with magical abilities.
In Fae Tactics the action takes place in isometric perspective. As we play, we travel through a dangerous world and learn about its secrets, we collect equipment, gain new allies and develop their combat potential. By gaining experience points, Peony and her companions advance to the next levels, gaining new skills over time.
These, in turn, are useful in turn-based duels with enemies, where success is based upon the proper use of spells. Interestingly, defeated Faes can our team after losing a fight.
Fae Tactics has colourful, two-dimensional graphics in a pixelart style.
