The second part of the adventure games series from Okomotive studio. In FAR: Changing Tides we find ourselves in a postapocalyptic land ravaged by floods, which we travel on the board of a ship. The gameplay is slow and has a relaxing, meditative character.
FAR: Changing Tides is the second installment of the series of adventure games, launched in 2018. The game was developed by the authors of the original - the independent Swiss studio Okomotive - while its release was handled by Frontier Foundry.
FAR: Changing Tides takes us to a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by floods. During the game we play as a boy who travels across the desolate land on board of his ship. During the poetic journey the protagonist searches for answers to questions that torment him and builds a special bond with his ship.
In FAR: Changing Tides we observe the action from the side. The gameplay is unhurried and has a relaxing, even meditative character.
During the game we play the role of a boy who steers the ship, operating all the equipment installed on board himself. The journey leads us through the ruins of ancient civilization, flooded valleys, sunken enclaves and picturesque river basins. During the journey our protégé must take care of the proper functioning of the machine, and the necessity of refueling and repairing defects occurring along the way forces him to dive into unknown depths in search of fuel and various materials. Moreover, sailing among the ruins of an ancient civilization, from time to time we encounter terrain obstacles. To get rid of them, we have to leave the ship and solve a generally uncomplicated environmental puzzle.
FAR: Chaning Tides has hand-painted graphics kept in style known from the previous game from Okomotive studio.
