Farmagia is an RPG game with elements taken from agricultural simulators. It focuses on the adventures of heroes involved in breeding and combat training of monsters. The studio Marvelous is responsible for its development.
The world of Felicidad is a place where its inhabitants live in harmony with monsters and it was made possible by the ruler of the land - Magus Diluculum. With the death of the ruler, however, a struggle for power began, in which General Glaza took the lead, having hordes of evil creatures at his side. The main character of the game is a young farmer named Ten - he belongs to the titular Farmagia, who are engaged in breeding and training monsters. When the conflict reaches his hometown of Centvelt, our hero decides to use his skills to stand up to the oppressor together with his friends.
Farmagia is a third-person perspective game focusing on exploration, combat and farming. One of the main elements of the game is monster breeding, which in the initial phase resembles taking care of plants. We take care of the monsters, and when they grow up, we harvest them like crops.
The next step is training monsters, which allows us to increase their stats and unlock skills. During the exploration of the world of Felicidad, we acquire items that allow us to develop the main character's ranch. We also encounter Elemental Spirits - maintaining good relations with them can guarantee us additional types of monsters and new transformations.
During the game we participate in battles fought in real time. Classic attacks used in combat were replaced by orders given to groups of creatures we have bred (based on their numbers and special skills). The game also allows us to combine our monsters into a single powerful one, which is especially useful during battles with huge bosses. Besides the creatures we breed, we are ed in battle by Tena companions.
The graphics of the game are supposed to mimic the anime style. Hiro Mashima - the creator of such manga as Fairy Tail, Edens Zero, Rave Master and Dead Rock - was involved in the development.

Game Ratings for Farmagia Video Game.
Nintendo Life: 7 / 10 by Paulo Kawanishi
Farmagia offers a fun and solid experience for fans of the fantasy genre. With great art and entertaining dialogue, this game is the perfect fit for those longing for a magical adventure. Although it is not necessarily a great farming game, Farmagia works well as a bridge for players who might want to try a more action-oriented adventure. On the other hand, seasoned players of action RPG games might feel frustrated because of how simple combat is in Farmagia. Still, we believe the game's positive aspects make Farmagia a great example that, when done correctly, even the simple feels fantastic.
God is a Geek: 7 / 10 by Lyle Pendle
Farmagia has fun and flashy combat, but its lack of depth and threadbare farming ultimately make it hard to recommend.
TheSixthAxis: 5 / 10 by Reuben Mount
Although I genuinely applaud its attempts to try something new, Farmagia doesn't quite stick the landing for me. In fact, beyond the initial novelty of the mechanics, both the farming and the combat components end up feeling intensely repetitive with little to keep interest outside of further monotony. Once you add to these points uninspired visual design choices and predictable story elements, the game becomes very difficult to recommend to anyone but die-hard farming sim fans. Even then, it isn't bringing any fresh produce to the table.
