Simulation game representing a series developed since 2008. Farming Simulator 20 is based on Farming Simulator 19, a leading game with the ability to grow oats and cotton, raise cows, pigs and sheep, and use John Deere vehicles and machines.
Farming Simulator 20 is an agricultural simulation game. The production represents a series started in 2008, and its development was taken care of by the German company GIANTS Software.
The gameplay in Farming Simulator 20 is based on the solutions from Farming Simulator 19. The game takes place on one of two extensive maps (one of which is located in North America), and during the game we play the role of a farmer, who takes all the responsibilities associated with running a farm. We not only cultivate the land and harvest and sell crops (the list of crops includes cotton and oats), but also engage in animal husbandry (such as cows, pigs and sheep). As there is a lot of work to do, after each finished day we should rest, to which we are bound by the fatigue mechanics.
As we progress, we earn money to buy new land, construct farm buildings and finally buy more and more advanced machinery and tools. There are more than a hundred of the latter here, including the leading John Deere products.
Farming Simulator 20 is based on the technology that powered the previous installments of the series. The game's visuals are therefore decent, and special attention should be paid to carefully designed vehicles and machines.

NintendoWorldReport: 4.5 / 10 by Matthew Zawodniak
Farming Simulator 20 is a bit of a disappointment. As a newcomer to the series, I couldn't manage to find a hook to keep me playing before I was overwhelmed by the poorly explained gameplay loop, and with the draw distance as bad as it is, I can't imagine long-time fans of the series having a good time on Switch either. Agriculture is the backbone of society, but Farming Simulator 20 will not be the backbone of the Switch's library any time soon.

I did enjoy my time with Farming Simulator 20, but I’m concerned about the level of content to keep me invested down the line. There’s not nearly as much equipment as you would find in the more fleshed out versions of Farming Simulator, but I think if you can get past the shortcomings of the hardware that Farming Simulator 20 was built to run on, you’ll enjoy your time with it too.
The Digital Fix: 4 / 10
In its current state, I have a hard time recommending Farming Simulator 20 for the Nintendo Switch. If this is a title you just can't up, get the iOS or Android version and save a lot of money. Maybe GIANTS will consider throwing Nintendo a bone when Farming Simulator 21 is released.
