Farworld Pioneers

Mechanics

In Farworld Pioneers, we observe the action from the side. We explore a variety of procedurally generated planets. The globes we visit are differentiated in of appearance and topography of the terrain, raw materials, creatures inhabiting them or, finally, the weather conditions prevailing on them. As our overriding goal is survival, we are primarily engaged in the search for food and resources. The latter are used both to build our headquarters and to produce useful equipment, including protective clothing, weapons and inventions such as rocket boots, which facilitate exploration. In time, we can also start looking around for other survivors, thanks to whom our shelter has a chance to turn into a large and prosperous colony. By distributing tasks and responsibilities among them, we can automate their deeds; nevertheless, in doing so, we must to satisfy their various needs.

Our stay on foreign planets is not an idyll, as numerous threats lurk at every step. We deal with enemies by making use of an extensive arsenal; although initially we have simple and makeshift weapons at our disposal, with time we get our hands on more and more advanced guns, such as flamethrowers, electric cannons or nuclear missile launchers. But it doesn't stop there, as the weather can also pose a threat to the colonist and his entourage, led by phenomena such as powerful blizzards or radiation storms.

Game modes

Farworld Pioneers can be played solo or in one of the online multiplayer modes, among which we can find both cooperative gameplay variants and modules that allow competition with other players.
