Fast & Furious: Crossroads is an action racing game based on the Fast & Furious movie license, developed by Slightly Mad Studios, a team specializing in racing games. Bandai Namco Entertainment, on the other hand, took care of the publishing.
Fast & Furious: Crossroads tells a new story set in a universe created for the film series. The game features characters known from the big screen: Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel), Leticia Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) and Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson). In addition, the cast includes completely new characters played by Sonequa Martin-Green and Asia Kate Dillon. In the face of a new threat, the heroes must explore the world of international espionage.
Fast & Furious: Crossroads models itself after the moviea series. During the game we sit behind the wheel of various cars and take part in spectacular actions - assaults, chases and fight for life are the order of the day here. The plot throws us into various places - from bustling city streets to more exotic locations.
The list of available cars is varied. Letty and Dom prefer classics; the garage of the former houses Corvette C2 Sting Ray, Datsun 240Z and Porsche 911 Carrer RSR, the hero played by Vin Diesel rides Dodge Charger R/T, Chevrolet 150 and Plymouth GTX. Roman is a fan of modern supercars, so he's driving an Aston Martin DB11 and Ford GT from 2017.
In addition to the single-player modeFast & Furious: Crossroads offers an extensive multiplayer mode.
In of visual quality, Fast & Furious: Crossroads remains behind the best productions of the genre. The game brings to mind the titles from seventh generation consoles - although the car models are refined, the characters and surroundings are not so impressive.
