Forza Motorsport 2 is the sequel to one of the best racing games exclusive to Xbox. This time around, the developers decided to create a product exclusively for Xbox 360 in order to present the enthusiasts of automotive sports with a true next-gen title.
Similarly to the first game in the series, the sequel also puts an emphasis on realism. The developers hired engineers and professional drivers as consultants so that the gameplay recreates reality as faithfully as possible. Each vehicle can be damaged in a variety of ways, not only visible at the first glance. As a result of careless driving, problems with unstable suspension or overheated tires may occur.
The available cars span over three hundred machines of nearly fifty actual brands. We can sit behind the wheel of General Motors, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche products. Naturally, all cars can be modified in a variety of ways so there is no problem with selecting an engine, installing a turbo, configuring breaks, and so on. We can tune our vehicles not only mechanically but also in of appearance, for example, we can put colorful patters on the paintwork and replacing body parts. As far as racing tracks are concerned, the developers prepared around sixty locations set in eighteen different environment. It is worth stressing that not all of them are fictional since the game features thirteen actual speedways, Laguna Seca and Silverstone included.
Thanks to the capabilities of Xbox 360, Forza Motorsport 2 features detailed three-dimensional graphics that are rich in spectacular effects (e.g. HDR). Owners of HDTV screens can enjoy visuals in the resolution of 1280x720 pixels, fourth-degree antialiasing, etc. Xbox Live, in turn, allows us to compete against players from all around the world. True fans of automotive sports will surely appreciate for wireless steering wheels.
