Mechanics

Fuga: Memories of Steel 2 is a side-scroller. The player commands a squad of children traversing the world aboard a mighty tank.

Their destinations can be picked from the in-game map. While it's possible to just pick the shortest, easiest paths, detours can be lucrative although dangerous. Along the way we battle enemies in turn-based battles using the Tarascus' various armaments. The player must man the weapons with crew , ing each of them has individual skills and strengths that can affect the course of battle. We can also use the tank's mightiest weapon, the Managarm (the two-barrelled counterpart to the original game's Soul Cannon) and call for air . One must also to exploit the enemies' weaknesses to specific weapon types.

As we progress through the game, our party form relationships with each other, while the player must make decisions that affect the story.

Technical aspects

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 retains the artstyle of the original game, inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli.
