An extensive logic game belonging to the so-called match 3 subgenre; it was developed by Playrix Games. The player assumes the role of a gardener whose task is to restore a parcel back to its former glory and discover the secrets of the place along the way. The entire game is set in a large garden divided into several sections. In of mechanics, typical "match-3-objects" rules were applied here.
Gardenscapes: New Acres, released on AND and iOS, is an extensive match-3 production, created by Playrix Games. The title is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
In Gardenscapes: New Acres, the player becomes a gardener whose job is to take care of the plot entrusted to them. The overarching goal of the story campaign is to restore the former splendor of this place and unravel the secrets hidden in it. The garden itself is divided into several sectors, among which there is a maze. The production focuses on the social aspect, so it is possible to integrate it with Facebook and invite your friends to play together.
The actual game is based on the classic match-3 rules - the player's task is to combine fruit and plant images, create spectacular combinations and score as many points as possible. The game helps us with this task by providing power-ups and simplifications, such as stopping the time temporarily. Points give us money that we can spend on expanding the square, and unused tips result in a bonus. Story scenes are played between the stages - during them, we talk to the characters, buy new decorations for the garden and plant beautiful plants.
Gardenscapes: New Acres on AND and iOS features colourful 2D graphics done in a cartoon-like and eye-catching style.
