Ghost Platoon is an intense first-person shooter focused on competitive multiplayer. The gameplay is fast and has an old-school touch to it – winning requires planning and having a good knowledge of the map. The title was developed by independent studio Polygon Art (Operation: Arctic Hawk, Beyond Enemy Lines).

Mechanics

The rules of Ghost Platoon are simple – the players control their character from a first-person perspective and their only task is to defeat the enemy. The game features large variety of weapons and a few maps in a varied environment. Fights take place in a village, a warehouse in the desert or even inside a powerful storm. Each killed opponent provides experience points that unlock new skins that modify the look of the character.

It is worth highlighting that the game is focused on old-school gameplay – it lacks class system, equipment selection (weapons are collected on the map) and health regeneration.

Game modes

Ghost Platoon is a game focused on multiplayer, although it is possible to play with bots controlled by artificial intelligence. The title features three different modes:

deathmatch (2-16 players) – simple elimination of enemies. The player that kills the most opponents wins

team deathmatch (2-16 players) – battle is fought between two teams of up to 8 players. The group that kills more opponents wins

bot deathmatch – deathmatch in which players face opponents controlled by artificial intelligence

Technical aspects

The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and it offers good graphics. Ghost Platoon isn’t the best looking shooter on market, but it also isn’t bad when compared to similar titles.
