Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between

Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between is an original adventure game, that aims to recreate the feels of long journeys, anticipation and other activities that, although time-consuming, do not occupy our thoughts. This is an extended version of the short Glitchhikers: First Drive, released in 2014 and lasting only fifteen minutes. It was developed by Silverstring Media, an independent studio made up of people who co-created such projects as Wandersong, among others.

Mechanics

In Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The game does not set before us any specific goal. In the course of the game we drive a car at night to a distant destination, we walk through a park illuminated by the moonlight or travel in an almost completely empty train. Although these are not particularly engaging activities, they are varied by the characters we meet along the way, who share their stories with us or, in the course of conversation, provoke us to various philosophical thoughts.
