Global Operations

Global Operations is a tactical action game presenting the actual tasks performed by special units. It combines the best features of its predecessors such as Counter Strike, Rainbow Six and Team Fortress. The player can choose from six different character classes, each with individual abilities, i.e.: sniper, recon, medic, heavy weapons, demolitions and commando. There are 32 types of weapons available plus additional, only specific for each type of character, e.g. rocket launcher for commando.

First of us sixteen different maps representing real, real-world locations, each with its own scenario based on real events that took place in a given region. Computer-controlled characters are characterized by artificial intelligence at a high level. The whole was made with the use of Lithtech graphic engine that allows to generate high quality visual effects. The action is observed from the perspective of the first person. The developers provided the flexibility of the whole system allowing for subsequent modifications (MODs), and added an editor of their own levels. Multiplayer mode allows up to 24 people to play together over the local network or the Internet.
