Gloomy Eyes: The Game is an adventure game and an adaptation of Gloomy Eyes - an animated short film and the winner of the "Best VR Film" award at the 2019 Annecy International Animated Film Festival. It was co-developed by Atlas V, 3Dar, Fishing Cactus and Be Revolution, and published by ARTE .
Gloomy Eyes: The Game is set in a gothic fantasy world. One night the sun didn't rise in the morning, and in the dark, the dead climbed out of their graves. Horrified humans declared war on the undead. In the middle of chaos, an unusual couple s forces - a girl Neny, and a zombie boy Gloomy. Together, they must bring about the sunrise again.
Gloomy Eyes: The Game is an isometric game. The player traverses various, atmospheric dioramas, controlling both Neny and Gloomy. The protagonists have unique abilities they must use while solving puzzles. As the game progresses, we get to know them better, experiencing a touching story themed around love, loneliness and differences.
Gloomy Eyes: The Game features a dark, atmospheric, cartoonish artstyle. The soundtrack effectively builds up the game's gothic atmosphere.
