An interesting combination of two-dimensional shooter, platformer and cartoon. The main hero of the game is Glork - a warrior of the Glorkian race, who must defend his asteroid from alien hordes. In order to do this, he uses unusual weapons and his innate talent for skillfully breaking out of trouble.
Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork, released on AND, iOS and PC, is an arcade shooter with platformer elements, produced by Pixeljam Games studio, known for its Dino Run survival arcade and the extremely difficult Potatoman Seeks The Troof. The game was founded in 2010 through the Kickstarter campaign.
Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork is a unique combination of arcade shooter maintained in the style of classic Galaga, simple platformers and humorous cartoons. The hero of the game is Glork, a warrior of the Glorkian race, who has to defend his inhabited asteroids against hordes of aliens. He is disturbed by two aliens, Zoe and Chloe, who from time to time give him absurd tasks. As it quickly turns out, their completion is obligatory, so Glork must work on two fronts.
Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork draws from classics of the genre, meaning that the game doesn't offer such solutions as experience levels or micropayment system. What counts in Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork is the action and fun of the game. The creators designed dozens of funny types of opponents, including several demanding bosses, many unique weapons (exploding tennis balls, stars staying on the sky above the asteroid, etc.), as well as power-ups (alien juice, doubling or even tripling the number of projectiles fired). The game also has a system that procedurally generates the approaching aliens.
One of the biggest advantages of Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork is its uncomplicated humor and cartoon graphics (its author is James Kochalka). In addition, the game offers an intuitive control system and many exciting fights with aliens.
